Easter

A few days before Easter we dyed eggs at Kam and Dave's with the family. It was a lot of fun. Jaxx is finally able to start enjoying all the stuff the big boys get to. And he didn't even get messy!

This year for Easter we actually hid the eggs. Jaxx was so excited! He had us hide them again! He got a robot bucket with cars, and candy and a new woody t shirt. Sophia got hair accessories and a huge stuffed ladybug ( She's our little ladybug). We then went over to Grandma Judy's and hung out with the family and had a nice meal. The kids then did an egg hunt in the backyard. They were so excited to get toys, bubbles, play dough, juice boxes, candy and chips.

A day at the Zoo

We got to go to the Zoo with Margaret, Andrew and Kenneth. It was great. We thought it was gong to rain, but it only drizzled a few minutes and that was it! The boys loved it. Sophia slept most of the time in the stroller. It was so fun watching the reactions from the kids when they saw the animals. They always have so much fun together! It makes me smile!

Jaxx turns 3

Jaxxon turned 3 on Jan 20th! We threw him a party at Roundtable pizza by the Vancouver mall. It was superhero themed. He had a cape and an eye mask (but her wouldn't wear it) and some people came as superheros. It was a blast. His cupcakes were spiderman. I found superhero themed candies and little trinkets for the tables. He had a blast opening his presents. He opened them so fast I couldn't keep up with who they were from!

Backtracking! Sophia Lillian Phares

Well, my due date for Sophia was December 25th (yes, Christmas). But, she decided after 8 weeks of bed rest (27 weeks on) it was time to come. 2 weeks before her arrival I had a checkup at the D.R and was dilated to a 3 and slightly thinning out. No huge concern, but on alert at that point. The day before Thanksgiving I started having stronger, longer and really close contractions. Contractions were no new thing for us. They were the reason I was on bed rest after all. But, these were the real thing, I could tell right away. It hurt to walk. Jaxxon kept asking me what was wrong so I just told him Mommy had tummy owies. He said " oh no, you OK?" it was sooo cute. Bryan was out running errands before work and came home. Jaxxon ran to him to tell him mommy had owies. ha ha. So, we took Jaxx to Bryan's brother's house and dropped him off there. At the hospital I was at a 4 already. It had only been an hour since my contractions started. They weren't bad as long as i layed down. Walking was difficult. I decided I was going to take advantage of the huge tub. Bryan had to make an appearance at work since it was the day before a holiday or he would lose his holiday pay( at his work, it was 2 days of holiday pay). I took a bath for a while but wanted to lay down and my nurse decided to check me even though i wasn't complaining about pain. Turns out in an hour and a half I was at a 7! She was coming, and coming fast. So I texted Bryan right before I got an epidural for the pushing process, not something I want to feel! He got there pretty quick! The epidural was being a pain and for a bit only half of me was numb. and They gave me some medicine (i forget the name) and it made my blood pressure drop super low. I told my nurse I was really light headed and she had to go get the Dr and get me another medicine to stabilize my blood pressure. But, they got it all figured out just in time. They broke my water and checked me again and I was at a 9. Just after the doctor left the room Sophia's heart rate dropped really low during a contraction.. And I was at a 10 that quick. nothing was wrong with baby girl though. I pushed like 6 times and there she was. She scared me though since her cord was wrapped around her neck, but she didn't lose any oxygen from that. She was gorgeous! and looked just like her brother! She was born at 35 weeks. was 6 pounds even and 18.5 inches long! Tons of hair and long legs!

Baby Shower

On Sunday, Margaret and Christine threw me a baby shower!

It was a blast. We had the cutest cupcakes with dragonflies on them and little rice krispie treats shaped as baby feet and hands! adorable! they decorated Grandma Judy's house all pink. I love it.

The food was great, the punch was amazing! The games were the best! madlibs and a candy game and the safety pin in the rice game. All were great laughs. They also had guests make a letter to Sophia about things they hope she learns and such! It was a great idea! Sophia got TONS of cute stuff. A special thanks to those who came and showed their love for us! and a HUGE thank you to Margaret and Christine. As well as Grandma for letting us use her house! Love you all!

House Hunting and it's crazyness

We are currently trying to buy a house in Vancouver. We fell in love with one but it had 9 offers above asking price already. I still have yet to let that go! lol. But, since then I have looked at a few prospects. Some are ok. Some are terrible. Today I finally found one I'm interested in. Now Bryan has to go look since he was working. But, in all the driving around, the bad ones made some totally hilarious pictures.

It's a girl!!

We had out ultrasound today! It's a girl! And everything they were worried about before is gone! So, I'm not 'high risk"! We let Jaxxon come this time. He was a bit confused, yet intrigued. He even got his own ultrasound pic of his baby sister with "hi Jaxxon" typed on it. He liked that! We are naming her Sophia Lillian (sophie for short). Bryan's ready to go buy his shotgun! haha
